Egotastic reports that there is a new coffee table book by photographer, Timothy White, called Hollywood Pinup, and it features sexy 1950s-style pinup photos, featuring a bevy of celebrity beauties.

Elisha Cuthbert looking gorgeous as a Brigitte Bardot-esque beauty.

Cindy Crawford looking nothing like herself and that's not a good thing. I wish her face had appeared a little softer because she's a beautiful woman, but this photo does not do her justice. Her body is incredible. Wow.

Playboy Mad Men Photo Shoot

If you are as big of a Mad Men fan as I am, then you will absolutely love these photos from Playboy's Mad Men photo shoot.

This one is my favorite. It's so vintage 60's and Vincent Kartheiser (Peter Campbell) looks so great posing with the Playboy bunnies, the white convertible, and the sleek bachelor pad behind him. I love his bad boy smirk, as if to say: "I have it all, and you don't."

There's something so fantastic about the blue and grey tones. This photo evokes a feeling of frenzied desperation, as if he's staying up all night, writing copy for an early morning meeting.

I love the dark lighting, and the fact that neither one of them are looking directly at the girls. It's as if they're at a Hollywood party in the hills, and the girls are just part of the sexy atmosphere.

It's a Hot One

Last night, J and I had the AC going full blast and a fan turned to the high setting in the living room. It was about 80 degrees and humid. We live on the 4th floor in the middle of the city. It's like a sauna up there. We ended up moving our mattress into the living room just for the night. I saw this picture of kids playing in the Frog Pond in Boston, and I had to post it. You can almost hear the laughter and screams. I love how the massive wall of water looks like a shattered piece of glass. Water is so magnificent when captured on film. It's able to change shape, color, and even texture. (Via The Boston Globe)

Ghosts of a Crowd

These photographs are beyond amazing. Alexey Titarenko took these stunning photos in St. Petersburg, Russia using long exposure shots. The results are hauntingly beautiful. Believe it or not, these are crowds captured on film. By using a slower shutter speed on the camera, the crowds appear as shadowy apparitions. It's as if we are catching glimpses of the ghosts of St. Petersburg as they pass through. (Via BLDGBLOG)

Cindy Sherman

For those of you who are not familiar with Cindy Sherman, she is an amazing photographer. She uses herself as the model, as she poses in stereotypical female roles. My favorite series of hers is called, "Untitled Stills". These are photographs, featuring herself as different actresses in movie roles. When I was first introduced to them, I was completely fascinated with her ability to change into so many different women. Each photo conveys a different emotion.
